Before I'm Sued For Discrimination Here is A Post For All The Men Out There..........Steps To The Perfect Shave

In my awesome opinion Biotherm Homme is the best men's line around!!! The packaging is manly enough without trying too hard, the prices are pretty reasonable, the product is amazing & effective & smells like a sexy man (True Fact......Skincare is an investment in your continued hotness)

The products above are....

Cleansing Gel $26.00
Facial Exfoliater $30.00
Shaving Foam $20.00
Biosource Toner $26.00
Razor Burn Eliminator $32.00
Aquapower $29.50
Ultra Confort Balm & Aftershave $38
High Recharge Eye $39

Step 1
First things first boys.......Clean up!!! Wash your face (twice a day.....or at LEAST at night)....NOT just when your shaving....You may not think you need to but you really really do......Think of what your poor skin goes through in a day.......The dirt & pollution & grease.....Gross guys!!!! (Sorry...I didn't mean to get so worked up)......Any gel cleanser will do......(True Fact...dude's skin is thicker, oilier & has bigger pores than a chick's skin)

Step 2
Next you need to
exfoliate
[eks-foh-lee-eyt]......Meaning "to remove the surface"......Basically it's granuals in a gel that take off dead skin & dirt......The Biotherm one has round beads in it instead of harsh shells and such that alot of girl products have (proof that women are actually tougher than men)......This only needs to be done 2-3 times a week (no yelling here)......The beads not only remove debri from your skin for a smooth shave, they also lift the hair up for an easier shave......Super Wicked Tip: Wash & Exfoliate in the shower......the warm water will soften your hair (True fact....your beard hair is as strong as a thin copper wire!!!).....Exfoliating will also help to prevent in-grown hairs by opening your pores (where the hair follicle is) and getting rid of dead skin that blocks the hair

Step 3
Now you can get to shaving......I am beyond impressed with Biotherm's shaving foam (their gel comes out of the bottle too fast and you have to lather it up...lame)......It's 'non-dissipating"......Meaning that it won't squish down to a liquid like drugstore brands......This gives you more protection for your baby face (True Fact: You can press the foam between two pieces of kleenex and they will remain dry...it's cool I swear) ****Ladies you can take advantage of your man's product too.....if you don't mind the manly fragrance ; )

Step 4
After you've washed all the guck away you need to restore the Ph balance in your skin......This is where the toner comes in......I will never stop my crusade to make everyone use a toner......Trust me you'll see a difference in your skin and you won't use as much product (see the next step)

Step 5
Treat your poor razor scraped skin with your choice of aftershave
and moisturizer.......It is super important that you use both (or a 2 in 1 product like the one at the top)......The aftershave closes your pores and soothes your skin......The moisturizer hydrates your skin, keeping you looking young & hot

Step 6
I know I know......I'm losing you but your almost done......Last but not least use an eye cream (for the love of god and your future Mrs.
please use an eye cream)......Your eyes are the first things to show age......The key is caffeine and moisture (the one from Biotherm...up top...has these and ginseng AND a really cool roller ball so you don't have to even touch the cream!!!)

Simplified (aka man terms)

Step 1
Wash your face

Step 2
Scrub your face

Step 3
Shave your face

Step 4
Tone your face

Step 5
Soothe & Hydrate your face

Step 6
Take care of your eyes

Moral Of The Story......Even your manly skin needs TLC (which will pay off when the ladies can't stop touching your perfectly smooth face)

My Lashelicious Routine

1~Curl your slouchy lashes with an eyelash curler
Start at base of your lashes......then the middle......then the ends
(Super Wicked Tip: Only hold for about 5 sec or you'll get an ugly hard angle)

2~Lean your head back slightly and look down at yourself in the mirror......This is your safeguard against hella annoying mascara marks on your lids (Super Wicked Tip: If you are struck down by rogue mascara just remain calm!!!! Don't let it get to you......when it's dry you can fight back by wiping them away (gently) with a q-tip......if only all of life's problems were that easy to get rid of : )

3~Place the mascara wand at the base of your lashes (starting in the middle) and wiggle it back & forth......you want most of the mascara/color to be on your lashline to make them look full (aka super sexy!!!)

4~Super duper slowly comb the rest of your lashes......keep spinning the wand to distribute mascara & separate (Super Wicked Tip: Comb past your lashes.....no lash will be left behind)......Repeat 3 & 4 for the inner and outer corners of your eye

5~LIGHTLY (I cannot stress that word enough here!!!!) coat your lower lashes (Super Wicked Tip: When your done with your right eye coat your left lower lashes......this prevents goopy tangled lashes......always a plus in my books......too confusing? I am a complicated girl)

6~Don't worry this is the last step......Close your eye & coat the far outside corner of your lashes (top & bottom together)......this will extend your lashes and find every last one of them

Makeup Service Announcement
Please note that the power of your new insanely sexy lashes should be used for good, not evil ; )

Small & Hooded Eyes......You Are Saved!!!

"Before"

"After"

It is a great myth that only Asian women have small eyelids with no natural crease......my own flesh & blood is living proof of that!!!

For years my little sister has suffered from the curse of small, hooded eyelids......she couldn't make her shadow stay in place......she couldn't get any kind of color to show above her lid (where her natural crease should be...poor kid)....she was just generally annoyed with how small her eyes looked (this may be my last post as she is probably going to kill me when she reads this)

Her issues plagued me......I just couldn't come up with a solution......after searching and searching my stubbornness finally led me to the answers:

For her wearability issue......

LIQUID EYESHADOW......Chanel Ombre D'eau is amazing!!! They are $37 and totally worth it if shadow creasing is destroying your life!!!
CREAM EYESHADOW......Clarins Cream Shadow is another great option because it dries on the eyelid!!! They are $21 and last for freaking ever!!!

The "magic" here is the perfect seal they create on the lids when they dry......no more moving & shaking going on here......they also intensify any color you put overtop of them (light beige is my fav color)

Another, less colorful option......a specifically made eyeshadow base......the "magic" here is that they absorb oil on your eyelids......Try: Benefit's F.Y.Eye $32 (I believe)......The cheapest option: Foundation with loose or pressed powder over it

For her visibility issue......

Since concentrating color in her crease (which creates depth) was out of the question I moved it on down to her lashline
My "magic" method:

1~Apply color all over the lid......bring it slightly above where the crease should be

2~Apply a bright &/or shimmery liner (I like waterproof liners for their stayability) along the upper lashline (on the eyelid) and halfway along the bottom lashes......if your feeling fiesty try using a different color for your liner as your shadow (my all time fav combos...green & gold, purple & teal, pink & brown)

For her size issue......

My "magic" routine:

1~Apply blackliner on the INSIDE rim of your UPPER lashline (definitly use waterproof...unless your into the Racoon look...I'm not judging)......To do so you have to lift your eyelid up (this is what seperates the ladies from the girls...man up, you can do it)......you can go all the way across your eye or just do the outside half

2~Play up your lashes like there's no tomorrow sister!!!!!!
I go hardcore on my lashes and spend most of my time on them......curling & spinning & combing till the cows come home (I'll have my routine up asap so you can see just what I mean)......this will open up your eyes and draw focus (plus you can batt them and get whatever you want)

3~If you feel adventerous you can apply whiteliner to the INNER rim of your LOWER lashes......this will extend the whites of your eyes......but, use caution cuz it you could look like a freak ; )

Moral of the story......Your lashline is where it's at if your eyelids are being wack ; )

Your skin is not what you think it is....This post will blow your mind

Have you ever said (or thought) the following......"OMG! My skin feels so tight, it must be dry!! I need a bucket of the thickest cream I can find!!!!"...or...told a counterperson......"My skin is definitely dry so I need an entire routine for dry skin!!"......If you have then be prepared for the shocking true facts about your skin......Deep breath cuz here we go ; )

DRY vs DEHYDRATION

When your skin is dry you know it my friend......it's itchy, flaky, chapped, tight and red......dry skin is more of a condition and may never go away (booooooo). If your skin is to the extreme of dryness I would suggest seeing a dermatologist......if not then: A cream cleanser, 0% alcohol toner and a thicker textured cream are your best bet......look for products that say "Comforting" or "Nourishing"

WARNING*** If your skin is NOT DRY and you use only products for dry skin or a cream that is too rich you will breakout and have more problems than you started with!!!!
Ps...you can use a dry skin cleanser even if your skin is not dry but I suggest only that : )

The true fact is that your skin is most likely just dehydrated......unlike dry skin there are many immediate solutions for this one......so be super stoked you were wrong (jk...kinda haha)

Your skin can be dehydrated as well as oily or normal or whatever......it just means that your skin is in serious need of hydration!!!! Just like the rest of your body your skin needs water......unlike the rest of the your body your skin needs oil as well (please note that every single one of you needs a moisturiser in your skincare routine!!!)

When you wash your face your washing away the stress of the day as well as all of your essential oils (aka Hydrolipidic Film...see the Skincare Dictionary)......you need these oils to protect your skin from bacteria & the environment and to trap water inside. A gentle cleanser, sans-alcohol toner and light moisturiser are just the ticket to plump up your skin (there are other products you can bring into your routine but I'll go into all that jazz another day xoxo)

Whether your skin is dry or just dehydrated it is imperative that you take care of the situation or suffer the aging consequences!!!! Think of your skin like super cheap school grade papertowel (stay with me here, it'll totally make sense)......if you crumple up the papertowel when it's DRY and unfold it you'll see all the little lines......if you crumple up papertowel when it's wet (aka hydrated) and unfold it you won't see those same lines......make sense? Basically hydration plumps up the skin and makes you look young and fresh ; )

Moral of the story......Drink lots of H2O and hydrate your skin (properly!!)

Evil girls come with the territory!!

***Gossip Alert***
Grrrrr......I only have one day of peace left until my arch enemy Bad-Adriana(not to be confused with my BFF Good-Adriana who is made of sugar & spice & everything nice) comes back from her vacation!!! I'm a lover not a hater but this girl has spent the last 5 months ignoring me and trying to make my life hell....doesn't sound like such a big deal you say......well, i say to you....
1) she is my "manager" (quotation marks mean she's terrible at her job and thinks her milkshake brings all the boys to the yard)
2) we work in a 10' x 10' counter (true fact: that's about the size of a prison cell....no joke)
3) she lied to try to get me fired
4)she tried to freeze me out of our group of girls
......if that doesn't = evil to you then you are one them ; )

***Sidenote***
I would like to point out my usage of the word "tried" while describing her actions......this is because she is not very good at being evil......also good always triumphs over evil......also I'm the most stubborn person you'll meet so she'll tire herself out before I break......rookie ; )

But, do not fear for me readers......I have some pretty chill girls to back me up xoxo

Moral of the story: Just be a nice person

Super heavy and cakey foundation is NOT the answer ladies!!!!

So, today I had a young girl come to my counter......she looked about 15/16. Immediately I do my 'scan' of her face and I can tell exactly what's going on with this beautiful girl......she hates her skin and is desperately trying to hide it under an inch (no joke) of foundation......to top it off she had the reddest red blush all over her cheeks :*( She was young and spunky and a total sweety......she told me she needed a 'full coverage' foundation (the most overused word women use when looking for foundation)......I gently persuaded the cutie to let me take her makeup off so I could show her the amazing benefits of the "magic formula"......a proper skincare routine + 'medium coverage' foundation + strategically placed concealer.

Ten cotton pads later and a fresh face was revealed!!!! No pores, a couple 'sad' areas that needed a little loving but nothing crazy......her skin was not even close to as bad as she was making it out to be!!! I cleaned her face......applied an oil absorbing serum & a hydrating gelcream (gelcreams or fluids are an oily skin's BFF)......sponged on a 'medium coverage' oil absorbing foundation (oilfree is always the way to go)......I finished by dabbing on concealer in a few key places (set everything with a loose powder....duh..jk)......oh ya and a TOUCH of peachy blush on the apples of her cheeks : )

The end result was a youthful, glowing young women......She came shining through

Moral of the story......Less is more and you are beautiful (just give yourself a chance)

I am a Cosmetics Countergirl......Hear me ROAR!!!!

To begin I'll state the obvious......I'm a Cosmetics Countergirl!!!! I work for Chanel cosmetics at a Department Store......which I have a love-hate relationship with (25 of the vainest girls you'll ever meet + a small area + competition for sales = one hell of a show....at least everyone looks good and smells great). I've been extensively trained in the art of makeup and the science of skincare......I've been mentored by the coolest, most creative makeup artists that have yet to be discovered (who are also the most amazing peeps a girl could ever wanna meet xoxo)......I've been taught by skincare Guru's and the most professional of professional makeup artists (Biotherm & Chanel & Mac~~holy name drop)......I'm inspired everyday by my clients (who are absolutely gorgeous inside and out....*tear)....all in all I'm kind of a big deal ; )

My days are filled with more drama than a Gossip Girl episode (wow that was super corny....I apologize but stand by my analogy). For this reason I need an outlet......something to get me throw the downs and somewhere to share the ups!!! I also feel that I have many pearls of cosmetic wisdom that I would love to share with the world......or a couple of people. I love what makeup and (more importantly) proper skincare can do for someones confidence (at any age)......there's more power in cosmetics than people realize (another true fact: women are about a million times more beautiful than they realize)

Well, I hope I have intrigued you enough to visit me often and to ASK ME QUESTIONS!!!!

Love~Stephy
